How is this different from a typical carabiner?

The Coachwhip Carabiner is designed as an elegant, everyday key carrier. Its seamless form, inspired by vintage whip handles, combines functionality with a sculptural presence. The narrower bottom section allows you to seamlessly add keys directly to the frame.

Can I use it for climbing or load-bearing?

No. The Coachwhip is not rated for climbing or heavy loads. It’s intended for keys, tools, and accessories only. Though you could carry your keys with you as you climbed. Up to you!

How do I attach keys or accessories?

Simply open the spring gate and slide items onto the narrower loop end — it’s designed to hold keys or small accessories securely.

When will my order ship?

Named after the Coachwhip snake for its noticeable serpentine S curve, our carabiner is sturdily crafted from a CNC-milled stainless steel body. Also made from stainless steel, the springy wire gates hook onto your belt loops with ease and prevent accidental opening. The Coachwhip’s frame subtly slims at the bottom, so you can hook your keys directly on and off without the need for an additional split ring.
