What materials is the Best Wine Key made from?

The body and corkscrew are crafted from stainless steel in three finishes: brushed (Big Red), PVD-coated (Noir), and polished (Tortoise). The Big Red and Noir handles feature dimpled PPE scales, while the Tortoise handle is made from cellulose acetate.

Yes! The ratcheting mechanism pulls the cork straight up and out, reducing the risk of brittle corks breaking — a common issue with standard wine keys. The sharp worm is designed to handle both natural and synthetic corks with ease.

Designed in collaboration with sommelier André Hueston Mack, the Best Wine Key is more than a hunk of articulated steel with a boastful name. It’s the final answer to a longstanding question: how do I get this wine out of this bottle? There have been attempts to answer this query, and while there remain some adequate methods for addressing the issue, we really think we knocked it out of the park here.

The Best Wine Key boasts a substantial presence in the user’s hand, a tactile reminder of its oenological authority. Its foil knife is precisely angled to keep the serrated blade on task as it makes its rounds, and the ratcheted swingarm mechanism transforms the once tedious chore of cork extraction into a smooth, satisfying ritual. Even with near infinite combinations of bottles, caps, corks, and casks to explore, nothing pairs with all of them better than The Best.

Very functional !

I had bought a very nice wine key many years ago & still use it but when I was ready to pull the cork out the wine key would slip off the bottle lip. Frustrating!

The Graighill wine key is super functional & a well made tool that is a pleasure to use ! No more slipping off the bottle when pulling the cork out !

(To 99%) Best Wine Key

I bought this beautiful Piece of Engineerment for myself and for professional use. Almost every Aspekt Craighill considered about the Functionality are spot on and an absolut Nobrainer if you are thinking about buying one.

But...

The Knife has some Flaws, its not about the Edge or sharpness. The Problems are:

1. It is hard to open it (may loosen up over time but still..)

2. It can not be opened by one Hand

3. It is not fully out-foldabel.

For professional use a Wine Key is not just a tool for unkorking a Bottle. It is a Multitool for everything from opening Wineboxes to tightening loose Screws and this can not be done with this kind of Knife Desing.

The quality is a straight 10/10 as well as the Design and i am already a great Fan of Craighill, the Team and the Customersupport.

If there are big gramma Mistakes i apologise with
