Crafted from heat-forged aluminum, the Andromeda’s anodized black finish attracts the eye much like a black hole attracts pretty much everything — making it as satisfying to behold as it is to solve.

A Star System Is Born
The Andromeda Puzzle reached its final form through a process of patient refinement, aesthetic evolution, and ever-increasing precision. Designed with George I. Bell, the Andromeda began its journey as a rounder, subtler take on the Burr puzzle.
As we explored new forms, we were careful to preserve the underlying mechanics of the original design. The final result is a mechanical puzzle whose dueling symmetries, spiralling peaks, and organic architecture all conspire to create a beautiful and otherworldly challenge.

The Andromeda Puzzle is a test of both spatial reasoning and manual dexterity, so the difficulty will depend on your level of experience with mechanical puzzles.
Burr puzzles are usually a good introduction to mechanical puzzles, but some may find the Andromeda to be more challenging than a classic-style Burr puzzle due to the unorthodox shape of its pieces.
We’d recommend packing it fully assembled in a checked bag, just in case.
