Our take on the classic spinning top, the Tracer Top is our first explicitly kinetic toy. Inspired by a single droplet colliding with a body of water, the Tracer’s design is an evocative rendering of an otherwise impermanent form. But it’s not just nice to look at — it was specifically engineered to defy the forces of friction and gravity for long, satisfying spins. Colored pips provide grip for heightened spin control in the hand, and generate a hypnotic visual effect while in motion.

My husband loved the tracer top and was amazed at the “hang time”! 😄Although the gift was late due to the wrong item being shipped the first time, Ray at Craighill made it right, just wish it had been done right the first time. Still such a cool top!

This top is beautiful, has a nice weight, and spins a VERY long time (particularly if you spin it on a top stand or other glass surface). And it really does look like a drop of water! Highly recommended!

I have a bunch of different tops and this has been a great addition. The very first time I set it spinning it went for three minutes. The shape of the stem makes it easy to spin and it has an attractive shape. Very pleased with it.
