Temple Flashlight

This flashlight, in addition to being attractively packaged and smartly encased in a motif that harkens back to a fluted column from the Art Deco period, is well thought out. Instead of the first click bringing it to full brightness, the light starts on low beam. This prevents me from getting blinded by the full brightness of the LED -which is very, very bright. The second click is medium brightness, with the third bringing on the sun. The grip of the base feels easy in your hand, with the fluting giving it a firm grip. The materials are high quality, with the large, yellow silicone switch on the base being quite easy to depress with your thumb as you hold it.. The USB-C charging port is kept clean by a silicone cover that is tethered to the base. Well made and well thought out.

Yes, it’s pricey for an LED flashlight, but if all you wanted was a simple flashlight, you wouldn’t be looking here. What you get is a thoughtfully designed object that you can keep out on a handy shelf for when you need it, not hidden in a drawer somewhere. It has a nice weight, feels good in the hand, and the finish is even with no machine marks. Oh, it works really well as a flashlight too.

This flashlight is my favorite item right now. I love that it recharges and has 3 light intensity settings. Light night I used it to identify who was the culprit for eating my jasmine plant- some type of small green larvae 🐛 doing double duty. Thanks for such a treasure!

The Temple Flashlight feels really solid and the three levels of lighting are great. But the aspect that really sets this flashlight apart is its look - it appears as a piece of art! I live in an area with winds and wildfires so we have relatively frequent power outages (unintentional as well as pre-planned). Having a flashlight on my bookshelf is very handy, and one that is artistic is much appreciated.
