This closed helix is a great design. The silver closed helix keyring appears to be different than the black. The turning mechanism to close the keyring on the black is just a cap and does not have ridges that screw into the locking position.

Because of an overwhelming amount of customer feedback about the screw cap loosening over time, the Closed Helix Keyring recently underwent a design update! That said, we no longer produce the screw-off version. Instead, we are slowly introducing the updated design, which addresses this issue and provides enhanced durability and functionality.
Apologies that you received two different versions! Rest assured, the updated design maintains the quality you can expect from our products :-)

I love this key ring for running. I can head out the door and hold this easily in my hands by slipping a finger through the opening. Easy to add keys and can hold a lot of keys if needed.
